Overview
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, companies realized just how important clear and consistent communication is for a marketing campaign. In order to communicate rapidly changing university housing announcements and communications, the Office of Housing Administration at SDSU launched a distinct branding system for all COVID-19 related communications.
Designer Statement
When approaching the branding for COVID-19 information, keeping a recognizable connection to the universities color system helped residents correlate this was coming from the university source. Fun, Simple, geometric illustrations created a humanistic side to the branding, and allowed our communications to come off friendlier than generic pandemic related communications.
Guide to Community Living
The Guide to Community Living is a handbook designed for students to help with many of the questions that arise with living on campus in your new college home. General information about living in on-campus communities and university policies and procedures can also be found in the guide to Community Living.
Social Media
Social Media for this campaign was focused on answering not only COVID-19 questions, but questions specifically related to move-in week. Announcements on new policy changes were also reinforced through social media platforms
Pubic Signage
In order to increase awareness of quickly changing policies and procedures, digital displays, and large A-Frame signs were dispersed throughout residential communities on campus.
