Solita is a contemporary hotel geared towards solo travelers and singles traveling on business. It is located in the neighborhood bordering SoHo and Nolita. Solita takes the loneliness out of
solo-traveling and invites emigre with warm hospitality while
still giving guests their independence to explore what the beautiful
city of New York has to offer.
Designer Statement
When asking people in a survey who don’t solo travel currently, but wish they could, the main thing stopping them was feeling lonely while exploring new places. Solita is the hotel for that exact archetype.
The O and L within the logo interlock each other to show the warmth and support this hotel offers its solo guests.
Attention to “The Little Things”
Solita’s hotel collateral features objects like drycleaning service tags, “do not disturb” door hangers, and daily weather report cards that have an emphasis on typographic treatment and thoughtful color choices.
